ALLEGANY, N.Y. — Enchanted Mountains Lodge #252, Free and Accepted Masons, will hold the 22nd annual Veterans Memorial Euchre Tournament on March 28.
Registration will start at 11 a.m., and play starts at noon. The tournament will be held at the Allegany American Legion Post 892, 4350 State Road (Route 417 West).
This event is held to honor the memory of all veterans who have served the country. In keeping with the Masonic principles of friendship, morality, brotherly love and charity, and as well as the fact that so many of the lodge members have served, proceeds will support local veteran organizations. Last year the proceeds were donated to the Joint Veterans Council Volunteer Van Service and the Allegany American Legion funeral ritual team. Over the past 21 years, thousands of dollars have been raised and donated to veteran organization; nothing stays with the lodge except the great feeling members get from helping veterans.
All euchre players are invited to participate for a donation of $10. Lunch and door prizes are provided to all players. There will also be raffles.
A large number of players participated last year, so there may be a cutoff for the number of players.
