ULYSSES — Cameron County shrugged off a slow start en route to a resounding 77-46 win over Northern Potter in a North Tier League boys hoops game Thursday.
The Red Raiders (9-2, 8-1) trailed Northern Potter 16-12 after the first quarter, before taking a slim 31-25 lead into halftime.
But from there, it was all Cameron County. The Red Raiders scored 27 points — including 16 from Dino Brown — in the third quarter alone to take a 58-37 lead into the fourth.
Four Red Raiders finished in double digits on the night. Dino Brown led all scorers with 29 points, while Caden Beldin chipped in 23 — the fourth straight game each of the two has scored at least 20 points. Dylan Guisto and Hayden Brown each scored 10 for Cameron County.
For NoPo (6-7, 3-6), Tre Slawson scored 13 points, while Carter Anderson (11 points) and Ezra Sprow (10 points) were also in double digits.
“We played about three and a half quarters,” NoPo coach Derek Erway said. “But Dino got hot, and unfortunately we got down, so we had to pressure, which gave (Cameron County) easier baskets. We played hard, and Cameron County is a good team. We just have to put a whole game together.”

“Otto-Eldred was very efficient and patient,” OV coach Nick Goss said of his opponents. “They really took what our defense gave them, and I think they also did a good job of pressuring us in the halfcourt, which caused us to speed up a little bit. I don’t think we brought our best stuff tonight.”
