JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Audubon Community Nature Center is offering a Family Yoga class from 5 to 6 p.m. Jan. 16.
The event will be hosted by certified Kidding Around Yoga (KAY) instructor Loretta Cheney. The class will repeat on Feb. 20.
KAY programs are designed around a structure that includes a lot of music and games and are known for its “Sarge Salutation.” They guide participants into a deep state of relaxation. Additional experiences include brief meditation practices, mindfulness activities, breathing exercises, posing, dancing and laughing.
Participants are requested to bring comfortable clothing.
The fee for the program is $16 for adults (16 and over), $12 for Nature Center members, and $9 for children ages 4-15.
Paid reservations are required by Jan. 14 and can be made by calling (716) 569-2345 during business hours or going to AudubonCNC.org/Programs and clicking on “Current Schedule.”
Walk-ins may be accepted if there is room; call for availability after the deadline.
