The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will provide information about the state’s new REAL ID at a talk from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Jan. 15 at the Bradford Area Public Library.
Attendees will learn facts about the new identification, including the fact that beginning Oct. 1, Pennsylvanians will be required to have a REAL ID to enter a federal building or board a domestic commercial flight. A representative from PennDOT will be available to explain the law and answer questions about the REAL ID.
The program is free and open to the public.
After the program, the PennDOT representative will be available to review participants’ paperwork to verify that it is sufficient for obtaining a REAL ID. This may save an extra trip down to the PennDOT Driver License Center.
