According to Pennsylvanians, Lt. Gov. John Fetterman looks like a skinny Thanos, Gov. Tom Wolf’s “anger translator” or a WWE heel managed by Wolf.
They say Wolf looks like a “guy who eats pizza with a knife and fork,” or an “old tenured professor who kayaks on the weekend.”
“I think that’s an affirmation of your whole ethos,” Fetterman joked to Wolf in a video shared on social media.
In honor of Festivus, the Airing of Grievances celebrated annually on Dec. 23, Pennsylvania’s executives decided to air their constituents’ grievances by reading their mean tweets about them in a video posted to Facebook, Instagram and, of course, Twitter.
It’s become a social media fad since the concept was popularized by the Jimmy Kimmel Show as early as 2012. Pop-culture celebrities are often the willing subjects of these self-roasting videos, but politicians like Paul Ryan, Chuck Schumer and even former President Barack Obama have joined the “fun.”
As revealed in this most recent video, a cohort of Pennsylvanians may be touting a conspiracy theory that Fetterman, with furrowed brow and 6-feet-9-inches stature, is actually Bigfoot.
“Come to think of it, I’ve never seen Bigfoot and @JohnFetterman in the same place,” the tweet reads.
Wolf and Fetterman exchange a look.
“That’s a good point,” Wolf says.
“The truth is out there,” Fetterman allows.
Another Twitter user wondered if, one day, Fetterman wearing a tie meant someone was being held hostage. Similarly, another wondered if Fetterman makes a conscious choice every morning to wear the same shirt.
Someone else wondered why there doesn’t seem to be a public campaign to get Wolf to run for president.
“It’s because he’s bald right?” the tweet reads.
“I’m bald?” Gov. Wolf asks.
Watch to the end of the video for a sequence of bloopers. We may never know what tweet Gov. Wolf thinks his mother wrote.
