The Rev. William D. Waterman was installed as the new pastor at Grace Lutheran Church of Bradford on Dec. 1.
This is Waterman’s first call in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
He brings his wife Sheryl and three teenage boys with him as he leads his new congregation. He grew up in Nebraska on a ranch/farm and went to pre-seminary at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, where he received a BA in 1984. It was after that he felt a calling into the ministry and went into the Seminary at Lutheran Northwestern Minnesota and received his Master of Divinity in 1996.
His former called positions include Bethany Lutheran Church, St. John’s and Fridhem, all in Nebraska. His last called position was at Tabor Lutheran Church in Kane.
Along with being a pastor of these churches Waterman has, at different times, sat on the Synod Council for three years, was in the Kane Ministerium for seven and 1/2 years and has also served as a volunteer chaplain for a hospital.
Waterman and the congregation welcome anyone interested to attend worship service at 10 a.m. on Sundays.
