Open Arms Port Allegany will hold its Christmas Eve’s Eve Service on Monday.
The event, taking place at Port Allegany High School at 20 Oak St., will begin at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m.
Pastor Matt Burt said the service will use music and an inspirational message as a way to reach out to the community and remind them of the reason for the season, adding that all are welcome to attend.
“No matter where you find yourself this Christmas,” Burt said, “whether you are homeless, grieving, struggling in relationships, feeling unloved, unworthy, or beaten down by the world, we want you to know that Jesus has a purpose for you and loves you right where you are.”
This year marks the first time the event will be held at Port Allegany High School, and Burt expects it to be the church’s largest such event to date. Cake will also be served as part of the celebration.
