Frances Sherman VFW Auxiliary met for its annual Christmas gathering, Secret Santa gift exchange and a short meeting for pending matters.

“Veterans Kindness Tree” gifts are being collected for delivery. Gift-givers were to have them to the Vets Club no later than Friday. Members will meet at 11:30 a.m. today at the club to gather gifts and split up to deliver to all the local nursing homes. Santa will make an appearance at one nursing home. Scouts are joining the members to help with delivering.

VetJam 2020 is coming Jan. 25. The auxiliary is looking for extra baskets for the auction. Anyone who has baskets or gifting containers they would like to donate can drop them at VFW Post 212, 94 Barbour St. Anyone who can help in any way throughout the day, let Amy Peterson know.

Members are reminded that their annual dues are due now.

The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Jan. 15.
