T.O.P.S. Chapter PA #1704
Members of Take Off Pounds Sensibly Chapter PA #1704 met from 6:45 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Hooker Fulton Building in Bradford, second floor, room 206.
The meeting was called to order by Silvana R., the Chapter Leader, with the recitation of the T.O.P.S. Pledge.
The club is happy to report this week as a No Gain Week. Seven members came in with a loss or weight remaining the same for a total loss of 6 pounds, 8 ounces.
This weeks Best Loser was Bonnie B., Loser in waiting was Dyvonte’ M., and Officer of the week was Denise T. One member, Lonnie C., reported a new fresh weight for two weeks in a row. This means that she has achieved a new low overall for the year.
The group then went into a discussion, sharing information that helped them individually with their weight loss over that week. Lonnie shared that maintaining a food journal and drinking at least eight glasses of water has worked for her.
Members share information in hopes that another member may try something different to help them achieve weight loss. They support each other in their journeys because they understand how gaining weight can affect one’s life, and they show no judgement to members that “slip.” Meetings are open to the public.
As a reminder, planning has begun for the upcoming Area Recognition Days. All final paperwork must be completed and submitted by Feb. 19.
The food item to avoid this week is pie and the item to try is tuna.
