DUKE CENTER — The Terrors bounced back from their first loss of the season with a dominant performance over Bolivar-Richburg in the consolation game of the Randy Stebbins Tournament.
A day after falling to Eisenhower in overtime, Braden Maholic scored a team-high 18 points to pace Otto-Eldred to a 61-37 over the Wolverines on Saturday afternoon.
Jake Merry had another solid game for Otto-Eldred (2-1) with 16 points while teammate Gavin Jimerson chipped in 11.
Landon Danaher had a team-high 18 points for Bolivar-Richburg. Danaher and Merry were named to the all-tournament team.
PORT ALLEGANY — Caden Beldin tallied a season-high 26 points to guide Cameron County to its second-straight victory with a North Tier League win over the Gators.
Dino Brown added 20 points and Dylan Guisto scored 10 points for the Red Raiders.
Port Allegany was led by Ty Guilds with 16 points and Jordan Card with 12 points.
Up next, Port Allegany travels to Austin today for a NTL match. Cameron County visits Punxsutawney on Wednesday.
DUKE CENTER — Karly Welty led Portville girls basketball to a Randy Stebbins Memorial Tournament championship Saturday with 19 points over host Otto-Eldred.
Mallory Welty chipped in with nine points for the Lady Panthers and Shayla Wilhelm finished with eight. Karly Welty was named tournament MVP and Mallory Welty was selected to the all-tournament team.
Morgan Dalton led O-E with nine points, while Jadelyn Spinney recorded eight points and nine rebounds. Reilly Raught scored seven points and brought down eight rebounds. Kayley Heller finished with eight points.
Reilly Raught and Katie Sheeler were selected to the all-tournament team for the Lady Terrors.
Otto-Eldred returns to action Today when its travels to Northern Potter for a NTL match.
OLEAN, N.Y. — Port Allegany’s Cailey Barnett proved to be unstoppable Saturday by scoring a season-high 42 points in a rout over Archbishop Walsh.
Barnett’s previous season-high was 32 against Sheffield to begin the season. Barnett earned a double-double in the win with 12 steals and added five assists.
Bree Garzel and Evin Stauffer both scored in double-digits with 17 and 14 points, respectively. Garzel added nine rebounds, seven assists and six steals. Stauffer recorded three assists, three steals and three rebounds. Shannon Curfman finished with eight points and six rebounds. Gracie Archer added five points and five rebounds.
Archbishop Walsh’s Noella Policastro had a team-high 12 points.
