JOHNSONBURG — Coudersport trailed until the fourth quarter, but managed a 43-41 win at Johnsonburg in non-league play Thursday.
The Rams (2-2) led 23-14 at halftime, but the Falcons (2-0) trimmed that to a 31-30 lead by the start of the fourth quarter, before outpacing Johnsonburg 13-10 in the final period for the two-point win.
“It was a great defensive effort overall,” said Coudy head coach Scott Easton. “Both Daniel Frame and Dalton Keglovits really played great man-to-man defensively.”
Dillon Keglovits recorded six points and 11 rebounds for Coudersport, and Derek Easton scored eight and added five assists. Hayden Keck led the Falcons with 12 points.
Kolby VanWhy, meanwhile, had seven points, including a three-pointer late in the fourth that put Coudersport up 41-37.
The Falcons host Oswayo Valley Monday, while Johnsonburg has a home game with Smethport that night.
