When was the last time you took stock of your personal arts and crafts supplies? Here’s the perfect chance.
The McKean County Arts Council is holding a Community Arts & Crafts Supply Sale from 3 to 7 p.m. this Friday and noon to 8 p.m. Saturday. The sale will be held at the arts council’s new location at 5 Main St., Bradford.
Visitors during that time can purchase new and used arts and crafts supplies donated by the community. Proceeds will benefit the McKean County Arts Council.
The arts council office will also be one of the sites for the Winter Wine Walk from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
The McKean County Arts Council is still accepting donations of new and used arts and crafts supplies, which can be dropped off from 6 to 8 p.m. today through Thursday at 5 Main St., or from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today through Thursday at the Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce office, 121 Main St.
The McKean County Arts Council is also in the process of developing workshops and other activities for the 2020 year. People are invited to stop by anytime the arts council office is open to provide input on how a local art community can help them.
Membership is open to individuals, families, artists and businesses — anyone with an interest in seeing the development of a local art community. The arts council supports creators of all kinds including musicians, visual artists, writers, performance artists, crafters and more.
Membership can be a unique Christmas gift, giving a year of creativity to a loved one. Memberships purchased now will last through December 2020.
Started in 2017, the McKean County Arts Council seeks to encourage artists of all mediums. Visit mckeanarts.org or the organization’s Facebook page for more information.
