SLEEP DISORDER SUPPORT GROUP will be held at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 11 at Outpatient Services Center, Suite 33, Bradford Regional Medical Center. The sleep support group is an informative meeting, usually led by a guest speaker, to discuss a variety of subjects concerning obstructive sleep apnea and equipment. A registered polysomnographer is also present to answer any questions regarding sleep apnea. The support group is free and open to the community. For more information, call 814-362-8732.
KNIT KNUTS will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 5 at Bradford Area Public Library. Anyone who is working on knitting projects or who wants to learn to knit is invited to attend.
ART CLUB will meet from 4 to 5 p.m. Dec. 5 and 12 at Bradford Area Public Library. The Art Club is for children in the first through sixth grade. The program is free and open to the public. Laura Hickey, local artist, will lead both sessions. Participants must attend both sessions. Art club members will explore the work of Wayne Thiebaud. Throughout his career, Thiebaud utilized everyday objects and food as subject matter for his painting. In the spirit of the season, the club will use similar techniques to create still life painting on panel of a holiday favorite: gingerbread. A baker from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford will bake the gingerbread cookies, and on Dec. 12, members will enjoy gingerbread cookies made for the session.
MIDDLE GROUND BOOK CLUB will meet from 5 to 6 p.m. Dec. 5. The group, for grades 5-8, will meet to discuss “Shouting at the Rain” by Lynda Mullaly Hunt and play Battle of the Books.
