A Johnsonburg man will serve six years of incarceration after being convicted of sexual exploitation of children, U.S. Attorney Scott W. Brady said on Monday.
Clarence R. Neal IV, 36, of 521 First Ave., Johnsonburg, was sentenced before U.S. District Judge David S. Cercone in federal court in Erie, Western District of Pennsylvania.
Neal pleaded guilty in June to one count of violating federal laws relating to the sexual exploitation of children. He entered the plea to allegations that he received computer images and movies depicting minors engaging in sexual conduct.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Christian A. Trabold prosecuted the case. The joint investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Pennsylvania State Police and the Johnsonburg Borough Police Department.
This case was investigated under Project Safe Childhood, a national initiative led by the U.S. Attorney’s Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section. The initiative, launched in May 2006, brings together federal, state and local resources to find and prosecute people who sexually exploit children, as well as to identify victims.
