No injuries reported following one-vehicle crash in Lafayette Township
LEWIS RUN — No injuries were reported following a one-vehicle crash at 3:18 p.m. Saturday on U.S. Route 219 in Lafayette Township, McKean County.
Lewis Run-based state police said a sport utility vehicle driven by Christina Cheman, 42, of Baltimore, Md., was traveling north on Route 219 when it struck a deer that entered into the roadway from the northbound berm. The SUV came to rest in the northbound travel lane.
Cheman was not injured and was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to police.
One-vehicle crash reported in Keating Township
LEWIS RUN — No injuries were reported following a one-vehicle crash at 2:30 p.m. Friday on Route 59, west of Magnetic Avenue in Keating Township, McKean County.
According to Lewis Run-based state police, a car driven by Jeremy Verno, 41, of Mansfield, was traveling west on Route 59, when an unknown vehicle traveling east veered into the westbound lane, causing the car to travel off the roadway and into a ditch.
The weather conditions at the time of the accident were clear, with dry roadways and adequate daylight, according to police.
The crash caused disabling damage to the front end of the vehicle, though no injuries were reported.
