Bradford Creative & Performing Arts Center is seeking a full-time executive director following the recent exit of Lauren Marshall.
“We’re very sorry to lose Lauren, but we’re very grateful for her service to the BCPAC board, staff and community and we wish her every success, both professionally and personally,” said Fred Feightner, BCPAC board president. “Her enthusiasm really fueled her passion. She really wanted to bring the best shows to Bradford, and she is so well-connected locally she made these shows her own. She put a lot of work into bringing these shows to town and she took a lot of pride in it.”
Marshall’s last day was Nov. 15. The search for a new executive director is underway, with the job description posted to BCPAC’s Facebook page and plans for similar posts to popular job search sites in progress.
“Largely, we want it to run the way it has for the last several years. We’ve started a search that starts locally and may reach out regionally as we go through the process. This is a great opportunity for the right person, and we are excited about bringing the next director on,” Feightner said. “There is still a lot of work to do at BCPAC, and the board is really excited. Everyone’s been pitching in; we have a tremendous board, everybody is always willing to help.”
The posted description for the executive director position reads as follows:
“The Bradford Creative and Performing Arts Center is seeking a full time executive director responsible for strategic objectives and day-do-day operations. Bachelor’s degree w/ experience in the arts. Competitive salary and benefits. Requirements include leadership and organizational skills, business acumen and ability to connect w/various audiences and community partners. Email resume and salary history to patryan221@gmail.com.”
In the meantime, the daily operations are in good hands.
“We still have Amanda Caldwell as part of our staff. She has done an outstanding job of keeping things running as smoothly as can be run right now,” Feightner said. “Amanda learned a lot from Lauren; she’s very capable in running the day-to-day operations.
“We also have a number of board members who are stepping up to help out where there is a need.”
