Bradford man facing additional criminal charge
A Bradford man who appeared for a preliminary hearing Wednesday on assault allegations had an additional charge of criminal mischief, a third-degree felony, added to his case.
Jordan J. Evan, 33, had all charges, including the new charge, bound to court at the hearing, which was held before District Judge Richard Luther. Other charges in the case are aggravated assault, a first-degree felony; simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; and summary harassment, court records indicate.
According to the criminal complaint, on Nov. 1, Bradford Township Police were notified of a domestic assault at a Gilbert Lane residence. The victim had left the residence and was at a neighbor’s awaiting police. She was found to be bleeding and had multiple injuries, police stated.
The female said Evan struck her several times with his fist, and had assaulted a second person at the residence as well, the complaint read. Police stated that the victim had to be transported to another medical facility due to the extent of her facial injuries, the complaint alleged.
Evan remains in McKean County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Most charges against Rixford woman withdrawn in crash case
Most of the crash-related charges that were filed against a Rixford woman in July were withdrawn on Wednesday.
Danielle R. Rhodes, 33, pleaded guilty Wednesday before District Judge Richard Luther to summary charges of disregarding traffic lane and failing to notify police of an accident with injury or death, according to court records.
Withdrawn were misdemeanor charges of accidents involving death or personal injury, recklessly endangering another person and accident involving damage to an attended vehicle or property, along with several summary charges, court records indicate.
Another party who was charged in the case, John Jay F. Rhodes Jr., 37, of Rixford, has a preliminary hearing set for Dec. 4.
The pair was initially accused after a two-vehicle crash in which both were alleged to be the drivers. Court records indicated they had been in an altercation earlier in the day.
John Jay Rhodes is charged with misdemeanor counts of accident involving death or personal injury and accident involving damage to attended vehicle/property, along with summary charges.
