PITTSBURGH — The average price of gasoline across Western Pennsylvania is two cents cheaper this week at $2.785 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.
Gas prices are fluctuating across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast states with most motorists seeing penny increases. Delaware (+6 cents) and Maryland (+4 cents) saw the largest jumps in the region and rank among the top 10 states with the largest jumps in the country. For every other state in the region, prices only increased modestly or were stable.
Despite the large increase in stocks the week prior, the latest Energy Information Administration (EIA) data show stocks holding mostly stable at 59.3 million barrels. The regional refinery utilization rate is steady at 90%. The stability in stocks and utilization helped keep regional price increases relatively small.
The average price of unleaded self-serve gasoline in Bradford was $2.949; $2.723 in Brookville; $2.744 in Du Bois; $2.768 in Erie; and $2.939 in Warren.
