Bradford-area residents unable to afford a Thanksgiving meal with all the fixings are invited to apply for assistance through Open Arms Church.

The church’s Outreach Ministry is planning on taking 25 families on a shopping trip to a local grocery store on Nov. 24, the week of Thanksgiving, to get turkey, stuffing, potatoes, green beans and corn, rolls and pie.

“We want bless individuals and families who would otherwise not be able to afford a meal,” said Open Arms Connections Coordinator Alex Davis. “This time of year should be when memories with friends and family are formed. Folks shouldn’t have to worry about how they are going to put food on the table.”

Submission of an application does not guarantee a meal. Approved applicants will be notified by Nov. 20. Deadline is Nov. 17.
