It appears Republican candidate Mark Cline will be the new Bradford Township supervisor, according to unofficial election results.
He won over Jeffrey Carson, a Democrat. Cline appears to have garnered 572 votes, while Carson had 335.
Cline, a 35-year resident of Bradford Township, serves as chairman of the Bradford Township Vacancy Board. He is also president of the Pennsylvania Independent Petroleum Producers, a trade group of more than 300 producers.
In 2015, Cline was appointed by the Secretary of the Department of Environmental Protection to serve on an advisory committee in Harrisburg, and in October 2016, he was appointed by Gov. Tom Wolf to serve on an advisory council.
In January, Cline will take over the seat that is currently being held by Dave Geitner. Supervisor is a four-year seat.
