KANE — Kinzua Bridge State Park has announced its schedule of events for November. In case of inclement weather, outdoor programs may be moved indoors, cancelled and/or rescheduled.
The visitors center is located at 296 Viaduct Road in Kane.
Nov. 2 at 12 p.m.- Pennsylvania Elk Display: Touch an elk hide, pick up an antler and learn about some of the plants elk eat. Walk through the visitor center classroom to view the display.
Nov. 3 at 1 p.m.- Bagpipes and the Bridge: Local artisan John Stewart will play some tunes on the bagpipe that will surely be enjoyable! Music will be in the visitor center classroom and on the bridge.
Nov. 11 at 11 a.m.- Armistice Day: This is a brief talk to remind everyone about Armistice Day on the eleventh month, eleventh day and eleventh hour, followed by a moment of silence for those that gave all. Veterans — this is for you! Meet near the flag in front of the visitor center.
Nov. 17 at 1 p.m.- PA White-tailed Deer: Discover the history and habitat of the white-tailed deer of Pennsylvania with John Dzemyan, retired PA Game Commission. Don’t miss this interesting talk and display! Hunters welcome! Meet in the visitor center classroom.
Nov. 23 at 12 p.m.- Model Train Day: Learn about the amazing history of model trains while viewing a unique set-up! This is presented by the Kane Model Railroad Club. You won’t want to miss this! Meet in the visitor center classroom.
