SMETHPORT — A Port Allegany man arrested after a police standoff in Bradford City pleaded guilty on Thursday in McKean County Court.
Ryan P. Johnston, 27, entered a plea in two cases: in one to a charge of flight to avoid apprehension and in the other to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Johnston’s attorney, Daniel Lang, said that Johnston avoided apprehension in Bradford City for allegations in New York state. Also, on Aug. 27, 2018, Johnston possessed drug paraphernalia, Murphy said.
Johnston will be sentenced Nov. 21.
At the time of his arrest, Johnston and Christina M. Lynn-Hamilton were accused in a more-than three-hour standoff in which they were on the roof of a 217 South Ave., home. This brought out police and firefighters from several agencies.
