SMETHPORT — A Bradford man entered guilty pleas Thursday in McKean County Court to charges in cases involving drugs and endangering other people.
Walter J. Gutshall, 37, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to charges in four cases. He’s charged in one case with recklessly endangering another person, in a second with criminal mischief, in a third with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance and false imprisonment and in the fourth to endangering the welfare of a child. According to Murphy, on March 15, Gutshall damaged a door and windshield of a Jeep, causing $1,120 in damage; on Nov. 28, 2018, he was smoking marijuana when he was supposed to be watching a child under age 6; on Aug. 19, he neglected a duty of care for a 10-year-old by getting into an altercation with a woman, and the child tried to stop the altercation; and on Aug. 21, Gutshall restrained a woman and possessed with the intent to deliver methamphetamine.
He will be sentenced Nov. 21.
Also in court, Matthew T. Pritt, 34, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to one charge of failure to verify address. Between July 27 and Aug. 17, Pritt, who is required to follow registration as a sex offender, faild to verify his address after he moved, said Assistant District Attorney Ashley Shade. He will be sentenced Nov. 21.
Julio Massas, 41, of Hazleton, pleaded guilty to a charge of theft by deception. Between Jan. 2, 2017, and Dec. 29, 2017, Massas obtained property using a credit card belonging to Seneca Distribution, and he created receipts for a false business, Assistant District Attorney Bridget Murphy said. He will be sentenced Dec. 12.
Nikole D. Rook, 24, of Kane, pleaded guilty to a charge of false reports. Murphy said that on Oct. 17, 2018, Rook reported a rape knowing it did not occur. She will be sentenced Nov. 21.
Donald K. McClelland, 64, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of harassment. According to Shade, on March 14, McClelland threatened his son. He will be sentenced Nov. 21.
Sarah A. O’Neil, 29, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of harassment. On July 21, O’Neil communicated threats to another person, according to Murphy. O’Neil will be sentenced Nov. 21.
