LEWIS RUN — Evans Memorial Church, located at 1447 South Avenue in Lewis Run, will provide the community with a family friendly, safe environment for trick-or-treaters to go from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Members of the church will hand out treats from their theme-decorated trunks in the church parking lot, along with hot dogs, cotton candy, games, music and prizes for each child. There will also be a coloring contest for children up to 6th grade, for which entries will be judged by Nov. 11 and a prize given. In case of rain, the festivities will be moved inside to the Fellowship Hall.
From there, parents are invited to take their children to the Lewis Run Fire Hall at 46 Main St. from 7 to 8 p.m. for a Halloween costume parade and judging. Prizes will be awarded for the ugliest, most original, funniest, scariest and prettiest costumes. Light refreshments will be served by members of the fire department and Evans Memorial Church.
