RIDGWAY — A fire in the city of St. Marys that occurred Thursday was deemed accidental. The fire caused an estimated $100,000 in damage.
According to Fire Marshal Cpl. Greg Agosti of the Ridgway-based state police, the first at 621 Brusselles St., which occurred at 7:54 a.m. Thursday, was caused by an electrical wall outlet that overheated due to the operation of an electric space heater.
The building belonged to Rod Dippold of St. Marys. Those residing in the residential dwelling included Tammy Anderson, 46, Danita Deemer, 27, Cody Anders, 22, Wendy Celinski, 46, Jerimiah Deemer, 22 and Vinnie Allegretto, 25.
Reports indicate one male suffered minor injury at the time of the fire but refused treatment.
Red Cross assisted at the scene.
