Women’s Literary Club
The Women’s Literary Club met this past Friday at the Bradford Area Public Library.
President Patti Neidich opened the business meeting. She congratulated Cindy Benedict for the scrapbook she made for the Literary Club. A fall theme was presented by the tea committee.
Gae Colligan presented the program “Hydroponic Farming.” Colligan presented a slideshow which began with the history of hydroponics. Ben Grice’s Hydroponic Greenhouse located on South Kendall Avenue was featured. Grice grows local, fresh lettuce and assorted greens, grown in water. The PowerPoint presentation concluded with a summary of the advantages of hydroponics.
The next meeting, to be held Friday at the library, will include a program called “Political Buttons” presented by Fran De Lancey.
