A benefit for Steve Bartlebaugh, a longtime resident of Bradford who was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma, will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the VFW Post 212, 94 Barbour St., in Bradford.
The entry fee is a $10 donation, which includes a buffet style dinner featuring beef on weck, meatballs, pasta, ham, scalloped potatoes, pastries, cake and more.
There will also be a Chinese auction and raffle tickets for items such as $50 worth of scratch tickets, $150 and $250 gas cards, and two Pittsburgh Steelers jerseys.
Raffle tickets will be $5 for one or $10 for three, while Chinese auction tickets will be $10 per sheet.
T-shirts, wristbands and cancer ribbons will also be available for sale.
Burkitt lymphoma is a very aggressive lymphoma and Bartlebaugh is currently undergoing a very strong treatment plan.
He receives chemotherapy 22 hours a day for four days, and on the fifth day, he receives an outpatient treatment.
During this treatment, he is hospitalized in Pittsburgh.
The benefit will raise money to help Bartlebaugh and his wife, Shannon, with costs while Steve is out of work and in the hospital.
