EMPORIUM — Drew Evens found Howie Stuckey twice in the second half to lead Port Allegany to a 13-12 victory over Cameron County and to snap its five-game losing skid.
Port Allegany (2-6, 2-3) was led by Evens with 129 yards through the air on 13 completions. Taro Tanaka had a team-high 65 rushing yards while Blaine Moses added 36 yards. Stuckey finished with 85 receiving yards on five catches.
Cameron County (0-8, 0-5) got on the board at 3:03 in the first quarter after Nick Peters intercepted a Evens’ pass and returned it for a touchdown. The score remained at 6-0 as Port Allegany’s Chase Streich blocked the point after attempt.
The Raiders doubled their score at the 6:41 mark in the second quarter with a Luiz Patricio 18-yard scamper. Cameron County went for a 2-point conversion and failed, which proved to be a costly decision.
The Gators cut the deficit to six with 1:37 remaining in the half when Evens connected on a 11-yard pass to Stuckey. A missed point after attempt left the game at 12-6 heading into halftime.
After a scoreless third quarter, Stuckey caught a touchdown for Port Allegany on a 31-yard reception from Evens with 10:01 remaining in regulation. Placekicker Shawn McNeil gave the lead to the Gators and what would be the game-winner with the PAT.
The Raiders were led offensively by Dylan Reider with 90 yards on the ground. Peters and Eyan Smith added 43 and 30 yards, respectively. Patricio finished with 21 yards rushing. Gannon Horning had a team-high 18 yards receiving.

Keystone 44, Elk County Catholic 41
ST. MARYS — Trailing 30-13 at halftime, the Crusaders (4-4, 1-3) nearly came all the way back before falling short in the final seconds of the fourth quarter.
Mason McAllister threw two touchdown passes in nine seconds on back-to-back possessions with under three minutes to play to bring Elk County Catholic to within three, but Keystone (8-1, 3-1) closed out its eighth straight victory by controlling the clock in the waning minutes.
Running just 24 total plays to Keystone’s 71, the Crusaders still managed 386 yards of offense, including a 247-yard, four-score night from McAllister.
John Wittman caught two of those touchdowns and had 124 yards receiving in the game.
On the ground, Sam Kaul ran for 147 yards and two touchdowns on just nine carries.
The Panthers, meanwhile, controlled the clock with a methodical ground game that included Taylor Altman (30 carries, 153 yards) and Nick Weaver (15 carries, 93 yards) with a touchdown each. But it was Isaak Jones — with four touchdowns on just 13 carries — that did the most damage.

The Dutch play a non-league game against Franklin next week.
Kane, now 5-4 as well, has next week off. The Wolves will begin the postseason on a four-game skid after opening the season 5-0.
