A portion of the Richard E. McDowell Trail will be closed Monday and Tuesday of next week while a large crane is in operation at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford’s Sport and Fitness Center.
The trail will be closed from the brick power house on the edge of the Sport and Fitness Center parking lot to Dorothy Lane. Walkers and bikers will be able to get off the trail at the power house, use the sidewalk along Campus Drive, and resume walking on the trail at Dorothy Lane.
The crane will be used to replace a dehumidification unit on the aquatic center.
Additionally, there will be parking limitations in the Sport and Fitness Center lot beginning Wednesday evening, Oct. 16. Parking will be available in the lot across Campus Drive from the Sport and Fitness Center.
