Genesee woman involved in one-vehicle crash in Ulysses Township
COUDERSPORT — A Genesee woman was involved in a one-vehicle crash at 8:17 p.m. Monday on Route 49, Ulysses Township, Potter County.
Coudersport-based state police said a sport utility vehicle driven by Sheila Monroe, 46, was traveling east on Route 49, when it hit a cow located in the eastbound travel lane, causing disabling damage to the SUV.
Police reported Monroe suffered a possible minor injury, though refused EMS transport. Monroe was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
Collegeville woman arrested for alleged assault on several state troopers
COUDERSPORT — A Collegeville woman is facing charges for allegedly assaulting several officers of the Pennsylvania State Police at 11:16 p.m. on Sept. 27.
Coudersport-based state police said Maureen Rykowski-McCarthy, 48, was arrested after assaulting several Pennsylvania State Police officers, including Michael Brown and Garrett Marvich, both of Coudersport.
Police did not release further details of the alleged assault or the severity of any injuries officers may have suffered.
Rykowski-McCarthy was arrested, arraigned and released on bail. A preliminary hearing is upcoming.
Smethport woman cited following two-vehicle accident
LEWIS RUN — A Smethport woman was cited following a two-vehicle accident at 11:16 a.m. Wednesday on Route 446 in Eldred Borough, McKean County.
Lewis Run-based state police said a car driven by Robert Looker, 73, of Eldred, was turning left onto Prentisvale Road from a parked position on Route 446, when a sport utility vehicle driven by Kathy Johnson, 66, struck Looker’s car from behind, causing minor damage to both vehicles.
No injuries were reported for either drivers or Looker’s passenger, Paula Looker, 73, also of Eldred. Police said Johnson was charged with following too closely.
