Most of the assault-related charges against a woman incarcerated in McKean County Jail were bound to McKean County Court Monday at a hearing before District Judge William Todd.
Amie J. Alcock, 37, had one charge against her withdrawn: a felony charge of assault by prisoner. However, Alcock still faces the following: aggravated assault, a second-degree felony; aggravated harassment by prisoner, a third-degree felony; two counts of simple assault, second-degree misdemeanors; and two summary counts of harassment. The criminal complaint alleges that on Sept. 24 Alcock struck one corrections officer at the McKean County Jail in the head with a closed fist and spit in the face and eye of another corrections officer. She remains incarcerated in lieu of $30,000 bail in the new case.
In another case that moved forward on Monday, Josh J. Bodistow, 35, of Kane, waived a preliminary hearing before District Judge David Engman on charges of aggravated assault, a second-degree felony; simple assault and recklessly endangering another person, second-degree misdemeanors; disorderly conduct, a third-degree misdemeanor; and summary harassment. On the night of Sept. 24, Bodistow, who was under the influence of several drugs, allegedly cut his girlfriend’s wrist with a circular saw when he was fighting off imaginary intruders, according to the criminal complaint. He is in jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Scott C. Sicheri, 56, of Bradford, waived a preliminary hearing Monday before Engman on two counts of terroristic threats, first-degree misdemeanors; and one count each of retaliation for past official action, a second-degree misdemeanor; disorderly conduct, a third-degree misdemeanor; and summary harassment. According to the criminal complaint, Sicheri was upset about a decision that District Judge Dominic Cercone made in August and called the judge’s office numerous times, upset; Sicheri continued calling even after police told him to stop. At one point, Sicheri compared Cercone’s August decision to a past decision of Cercone’s with which Sicheri did not agree. Sicheri is free, having posted $25,000 bail.
Chase H. Lotter, 29, of Smethport, had assault charges against him bound to McKean County Court at a hearing before Todd. Lotter is charged with simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor, and harassment, a summary charge, for allegations on Aug. 31 in Keating Township. Lotter is incarcerated in lieu of $5,000 bail in the case.
Christopher J. Ross, 27, of Port Allegany, had misdemeanor charges of cruelty to animals and neglect of animals withdrawn. Ross had been scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing Monday before District Judge William Todd on the charges. Ross pleaded guilty to a summary charge of neglect of animals-vet care.
