Beacon Light Behavioral Health System, Beacon Light Adult Residential Services and their parent company Journey Health System, hosted an annual service awards luncheon on Wednesday.
During this special event, employees that reached milestone years of service were recognized.
The celebration began with an employee appreciation message from Brian Larson, director of referral development & recruitment at Journey. Guy Signor, CEO of Journey, presented closing remarks including a tribute to Richard Seager, president of Journey.
Jodie Wagner, director of human resources, presented gifts in honor of the employees listed below for reaching milestone years of service.
Beacon Light Adult Residential Services:
· Five years — Corey Chase, Sue Coy, Stefanie Dreese, Blair Hydrick, Diana Phetterplace, Amber Reed, Peggy Shirey.
· 10 years — Kirk Johnson, Jennifer Richard, Samuel Shonts.

· 35 years – John Pockey.
In addition, the Safety Committee and Opportunities Committee members were recognized. The Opportunities Committee is comprised of employees across all agencies that review and vote on submitted staff suggestions on how to improve safety, services, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
Out of several opportunities received over the past year, the winner of the “Opportunity of the Year Award” was Linda Bishop in the JHS Housekeeping Department. She submitted a waste-reducing and cost-saving opportunity in January regarding inventory control for products, including an improved order system and an ongoing audit of product expiration dates.
