A Roulette woman was arraigned Friday on drug-related charges from a traffic stop in the City of Bradford on Sept. 21.
Renee Seger, 23, of 42 Third St., is charged with five felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance; eight counts of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance; six counts of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia; two counts of possession of marijuana, misdemeanors; and one count of driving with an obstructed front window, a summary offense.
According to the criminal complaint, on Sept. 21, a police officer was watching a “known drug house” in the City of Bradford when he saw two people leave the house, get in a car and drive away.
The officer followed them, and eventually pulled the car over on South Kendall Avenue. As the officer was getting out of his patrol car, he saw Seger putting items into her purse on the floor of the car. When he approached the car, he told her to stop moving around. Neither of the two could produce identification for the officer, the records read.
The officer said the car smelled of marijuana, and he asked if there was anything illegal inside it. Both said no. When the officer said a K-9 was available to assist with a search of the car, Seger handed a bag of suspected marijuana to the officer, the complaint alleged.
Dehaven was placed in the patrol car, and the officer went back to speak to Seger, and saw her rummaging through her belongings. As she did, the officer saw a bong in her purse. Seger admitted to having it and gave it to the officer. When he asked her again about illegal substances, she said there were more items in the car, told them where she got them, and said, “I’m going to jail,” the complaint read.
Inside the car, police recovered paraphernalia including pipes, razor blade, methamphetamine, grinders, marijuana, Xanax, lighters, burners and more, the complaint alleged.
Seger, who police noted was arrested June 26 in Olean, N.Y., for criminal possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance, was arraigned Friday before District Judge Dom Cercone and jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail. She is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Oct. 10.
