A Johnsonburg man waived a preliminary hearing Thursday in McKean County Central Court on allegations that he was trying to sell drugs in Evergreen Park in Kane last year.
Mark Chittester, 26, is charged with possession with intent to deliver, a felony; possession of methamphetamine and of marijuana, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.
According to the criminal complaint, in August of 2018, a Kane Borough police officer was on patrol when he saw Chittester in the area of the park. The officer knew there was a warrant for Chittester’s arrest, so he stopped him. When searching the backpack Chittester was carrying, the officer found numerous drugs and paraphernalia in a Crown Royal bag inside the backpack. He said Chittester admitted to selling drugs, but would not say where he got them or to whom he sold them. The drugs in his bag were tested, and came back positive for heroin, meth and marijuana.
Chittester is free on $25,000 bail. He is represented by Warren attorney Alan Conn.
