A 2-year-old girl who was removed from her biological father’s home Aug. 1 has been returned to her father, and her mother was arraigned on related criminal charges.
Faith A. Marvin, 22 — the girl’s biological mother — was arraigned Friday before District Judge William Todd and released on $5,000 unsecured bail, court records indicate.
Both Marvin and her boyfriend, Kenneth Goodman Jr., 33, are charged with concealment of the whereabouts of a child and interference with custody of children, third-degree felonies.
Goodman’s whereabouts remain unknown, Lewis Run-based state police reported.
The child was released into the custody of her biological father, Paul McMahon, 25, police stated.
According to police, Marvin took the girl from McMahon’s home on Aug. 1 and failed to return her.
Police did not say if the mother initially had permission to take the child or when McMahon was granted full custody. MaMahon made a report to state police regarding interference with child custody on Sept. 24.
Marvin is scheduled to appear in McKean County Central Court on Thursday.
