OLEAN, N.Y. — The Olean Area Stamp Club will hold its 23rd annual Stamp and Postcard Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 5.

The venue will be the Bethany Lutheran Church, 6 Leo Moss Drive, Olean. Take Exit 25 off Interstate 86.

For the second year in a row, there will be an area dedicated for beginning collectors to go through boxes of stamps. They can pick out what they want and it’s all free. It’s the stamp club’s way of introducing them to the hobby, and members of the club will be on hand to answer any questions.

Also, a display of Olean memorabilia and Bradford, Pa., postcards will be on display. Dealers will be available to buy or provide appraisals.

For anyone with a “collecting gene,” the Olean Stamp Club meets the second Monday of the month in the social hall of the church. The group is open to collectors of any level, and members travel from a 50-mile radius to attend.
