SMETHPORT — A Bradford woman accused of using someone else’s debit entered a guilty plea Thursday in McKean County Court.
Rhonda L. Hanes, 20, pleaded guilty to a count of access device fraud. According to District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer, between April 8-25, Hanes used another woman’s debit card at different locations in the county to obtain $1,223.01 in property and/or services. Hanes will be sentenced Oct. 24.
Also in court, Mikki L. Stuckey, 34, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to charges of criminal trespassing, theft by unlawful taking and a summary charge. Assistant District Attorney Ashley Shade said that on July 30, Stuckey entered 174 High St., took $400 from the female resident and shoved the female. Stuckey will be sentenced Oct. 24.
John-Jay F. Rhodes Jr., 37, of Rixford, pleaded no contest to charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and two summary charges. On May 2, while the victim was trying to get Rhodes out of a truck in the parking lot of Bradford Regional Medical Center, he grabbed her and caused her to fall to the ground; He was under the influence of alcohol to a degree that he was a danger to himself and others, according to Assistant District Attorney Bridget Murphy. He will be sentenced Oct. 24.
Donald A. Walters, 33, of Kane, had charges of home improvement fraud and theft by deception against him dismissed. Murphy said Walters paid the entire amount of restitution to the alleged victim, as well as court costs.
Justin L. Jones, 32, of Atlanta, Ga., pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana for personal use and four summary charges. He will serve 15 days to 30 days in McKean County Jail with credit for 30 days of time served.
Several people were accepted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program: Terri R. McIntyre, 43, of Bradford, for endangering the welfare of children and DUI-controlled substance; Isaiah C. Robuck, 18, of Port Allegany, for DUI-controlled substance and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia; and the following for DUI-alcohol: Robert J. Saxton, 41, of Bradford, Garrett Kio, 26, of Chesapeake, Va., and Michael Dalessio, 57, of Rural Valley.
