COUDERSPORT — Paige Watson had a big night on both sides of the court with six kills and three blocks to lead the Lady Falcons to a sweep over Port Allegany Tuesday and help them keep pace in the North Tier League standings.
Watson added three aces and three digs to add to her all-around night, while teammates Emma Saulter (29 digs), Lauren Stimaker (15 assists) and Claudia Miller (10 aces, six digs) powered Coudy (4-2, 4-1) over the Lady Gators, 25-11, 25-23, 25-17.
“Our serving was what really helped us tonight as we were consistent and aggressive,” Coudy coach Brittany Kellogg said. “It was a good night for the girls and it helps us get ready for Thursday’s match against Cameron County (4-1).”
For Port Allegany (2-5, 2-3), Marah Rush had 11 assists, Maleah Daniels seven kills and five digs and Jade Evens five kills and seven digs.
Otto-Eldred 3, Austin 0
DUKE CENTER — Brianna Silvis had 10 kills and Mackenzie Wilcox added 10 digs to lead Otto-Eldred in three sets (25-21, 25-10, 25-19).
Emilie Reitler added nine service points and seven digs for the Lady Terrors (5-2, 5-1).
Taylor Brewer had five kills and two blocks for Austin (0-5, 0-5), and teammate Kylie Welsh added four kills and three blocks.
Cameron County 3, Smethport 0
SMETHPORT — Mallory McKimm and Morgan Lorenzo each posted a team-high eight kills to lead Cameron County to a road sweep (25-18, 25-23, 25-12) of Smethport.
McKimm added three blocks for the Lady Raiders, and Hailey Hilfiger chipped in seven kills. Reggie Goodrow facilitated the Cameron County (4-1, 4-1) offense with 14 assists, and added four aces on the night.
For Smethport, Alexis Schall racked up 11 kills, and Chloe Costa had 10 digs on defense. Hayley Durphy had seven assists and a kill for the Lady Hubbers (0-6, 0-6).
Cameron County is at home Thursday against Coudersport. Smethport travels to Austin that day.
Oswayo Valley 3, Northern Potter 0
SHINGLEHOUSE — Oswayo Valley maintained its unblemished NTL record with a home sweep (25-15, 25-8, 25-22) of Northern Potter.
It was a win by committee for the Green Wave (5-1, 5-0), which is the last unbeaten team in the league. Johanna Dickerson posted six kills, 10 points, six assists, five digs and an ace, and Avery Kellert racked up eight kills, 12 points, four aces, 12 digs and a block.
In addition, Mackenzie George notched 15 assists and added seven digs, two points and a kill, while Macy West had three kills, three points, an ace, five blocks and six digs.
For NoPo (2-5, 2-4), Courtney Martin had a kill, an assist, a block and 14 digs, and Savannah Herring logged five kills and block. Megan Hyde added four kills and 14 digs.
OV visits Cuba-Rushford (N.Y.) for a non-league game tonight, while Northern Potter hosts Galeton on Friday.
