For some people, Friday the 13th is considered unlucky, but for the members of the First Wesleyan Church of Bradford, they hope it will be a positive experience for all.
This Friday night, the members of the First Wesleyan Church will be showing the film “God’s Not Dead: A Light In Darkness.”
The film, which is part of the church’s Summer drive-in movie experience, will be shown at 8:30 p.m. at the First Wesleyan Church’s parking lot located at 692 South Kendall Ave.
About a decade ago, the members of the Wesleyan church started showing faith-based films outdoors as a fun outreach ministry. In 2016, FWC members purchased a huge movie screen, a new video projector, and an FM transmitter to give moviegoers a true drive-in movie experience.
“God’s Not Dead: A light in Darkness” is the story of a fire at a church. After a fire damages the St. James Church at Hadleigh University, Reverend David Hill finds himself in a fight against those who want the church removed from the campus.
This event is free to all. Popcorn, bottled water and tasty treats will also be available to those attending. Moviegoers are asked to bring a lawn chair if they wish to sit outside their vehicle.
