University of Pittsburgh at Bradford students are invited to join in the festivities during the Welcome Back to Bradford Block Party event on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. in Veteran’s Square.
The event will include a live DJ, food vendors, outdoor games, trivia, prizes and a tie-dye activity for students. Transportation to the event will be provided by the ATA Trolley.
“The Chamber will be doing a tie-dye activity. Students will have a chance to dye t-shirts, socks and bandanas for free with a valid Pitt ID,” explained Britt Watson, membership and marketing coordinator from the Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce.
The event was created to welcome students back to the area, as well as bring them together with the Bradford community.
“Our biggest focus is to bring the downtown community and campus together and create togetherness — to get students more familiar with what we have — so they feel comfortable coming downtown,” Watson said.
