Bradford Area Public Library is offering a talk about historic homes and buildings of Bradford on Sept.11 at 6:30 p.m. The program is free and open to the public.
If walls could talk —the stories they would share. Sally Costik, curator of the Bradford Landmark Society, will share their stories. Costik, local author and historian, will discuss the architecture and history of homes and buildings in Bradford.
For 50 years, the Bradford Landmark Society has collected, organized and documented the history of Bradford. If it were not for the work of the Landmark, much of the past and fascinating stories about the history and architecture of our homes and buildings would be lost. Participants of this talk will no doubt benefit from Costik’s years of research and dedication to preserving our past for generations to come. She will even include stories of local crimes and history and what she has to say will surprise you.
This event is a precursor to the tour of historic structures in Bradford on Sept. 28 from noon to 4 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and free to children ages 6 and under. Costik will have tickets available after the talk.
