A “Mocktail Party” to highlight the dangers of impaired driving ahead of Labor Day weekend will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the main lobby of Bradford Regional Medical Center.
BRMC is partnering with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for the event.
The event, free and open to the public, will feature “mocktails,” a selfie station where people pledge to drive sober on social media, a driving simulator to test a driver’s skills while drunk or distracted and PennDOT personnel and drug recognition experts from the PA DUI Association.
Drunk driving killed almost 10,500 people in 2016 in the US, according to the CDC.
