RIDGWAY — One child and three adults were possibly injured in a two-car crash at 4:58 p.m. on Boot Jack Road in Ridgway Township on Thursday.
According to Ridgway-based state police, 56-year-old David Kronenwetter of Clearfield, was operating a sport utility vehicle traveling south when the SUV started approaching stopped traffic. The SUV was traveling too fast and swerved into the northbound lane to avoid the stopped vehicles and struck a vehicle operated by 38-year-old Lucia Guarnieri and occupied by 50-year-old John Guarnieri and a 7-year-old girl — all of Jamestown, N.Y.
State police reported that the three adults suffered injuries — the Guarnieris suffered minor injuries, while Kronenwetter suffered minor injuries — and the 7-year-old girl suffered a possible injury. Only Kronenwetter was transported to Penn Highlands Elk in St. Marys by the Ridgway Ambulance Corp. for treatment of injuries.
Kronenwetter faces charges for driving too fast, according to police.
