Among the preliminary hearings held Wednesday in McKean County was one for a Buffalo, N.Y., woman charged in two cases with crack cocaine delivery.
Leonesha S. Brown, 26, of 79 Earl Place, Buffalo, N.Y., had both cases against her bound to McKean County Court at a preliminary hearing before District Judge Dominic Cercone.
Brown is charged in one case with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony, and possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. In the other case, she’s charged with six counts of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, felonies; three counts of controlled substance contraband to confined persons and one count of possession of controlled substance contraband by inmate, second-degree felonies; receiving stolen property, a third-degree felony; and two counts of possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanors, court records indicate.
Total bail set against Brown, who is in McKean County Jail, is $95,000.
Mikki L. Stuckey, 34, of Bradford, also had a case against her bound to court Wednesday before District Judge Dominic Cercone.
Stuckey is charged with burglary, a first-degree felony; criminal trespassing, a third-degree felony; theft by unlawful taking, a first-degree misdemeanor; and simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor.
According to the criminal complaint, on July 30, Stuckey entered a woman’s home uninvited, chatting briefly with the woman about her health, then tried to take off with the woman’s purse — and the medication inside it. During the ensuing scuffle, the woman was struck several times and shoved into a wall. At one point, the woman was able to call her son, and he arrived to find Stuckey had allegedly pinned his mother to the wall, and his mother was holding her purse with both hands.
While the woman’s daughter-in-law tried to break up the fight, the son went into the other room and reappeared with an air pistol; Stuckey ran out the front door, according to court records.
Stuckey is alleged to have taken $400 from the purse, too, the complaint stated.
Stuckey remains in McKean County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.
Josef D. Godfrey, 29, of Bradford, had criminal charges against him bound to court at a hearing before District Judge Richard Luther.
Godfrey is charged with burglary, a first-degree felony; criminal trespassing, a second-degree felony; theft by unlawful taking, a third-degree misdemeanor; and criminal mischief, a summary charge.
The criminal complaint states that on July 1, Godfrey pried open one basement door of a Euclid Avenue home and broke the glass out of two other basement doors to gain entry. Then he took four bottles of Bud Light and a can of Twisted Tea, according to the complaint.
When the homeowners arrived to find Godfrey, he ran from the home, and the homeowners chased him, the complaint stated.
Godfrey is in McKean County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
