COUDERSPORT — Road work is scheduled throughout the coming week in the Potter and Cameron counties maintenance area.

In Potter County, repairs include the following: sign repairs on various state routes throughout the county; crack sealing on Route 0044 (Sweden Valley to Cherry Springs) and Route 0144 (Cross Fork area); ditching on Route 0872 (Wharton area); and seal coating on Route 1013 (Bingham Center Road); Route 1009 (Pusher Siding Road); Route 1015 (Collins Hill Road) and Route 0449 (Genesee area).

Bridge repairs are also scheduled on Route 4025 (Brizzie Hollow Road) and Route 1003 (Loucks Mills Road). Both roads will be closed with detours in place.

In Cameron County, repairs include the following: ditching on Route 4001 (Old Creek Road); patching on Route 0120 (Emporium Borough) and base repairs on Route 0120 (west of Driftwood).

Meanwhile, mowing will also be completed in the following areas by a contractor (weather permitting): Route 0044 (intersection of SR 44 & SR 49 to Coneville); Route 0244 (Andrews Settlement to Genesee) and Route 0449 (Genesee area).

Motorists should travel with extra caution in these and all work areas. Motorists should be aware that due to the nature of highway maintenance and emergency work, crews could be working on any highway at any time of the day or night.
