WILCOX — On Aug. 17, Friends of Twin Lakes ANF will be hosting the band “Something Special.”
They will be playing at Twin Lakes Recreation Area from 6 until 10 pm. In addition, The Winery at Wilcox will be providing wine tastings from 5 until 9 p.m.
The event is free and family friendly. Plan to attend and bring your lawn chairs.
Friends of Twin Lakes ANF is also planning a “Family Fun Weekend” to be held Labor Day Weekend, Aug. 30 through Sept. 2. Special events are being planned for each day. Some of the events include morning yoga on the beach, an essential oils class, and glow-wiffle ball. More information will be released when plans are finalized.
Primitive camping is available at the lake for the summer season and is offered on a first come, first serve basis. Come spend the entire weekend and enjoy swimming, fishing, hiking, wildlife, and good company in addition to the live entertainment on Aug. 17.
A detour to access the Twin Lakes Recreational Area and Campground is in effect. The detour begins at the Route 321 / Clarion Road intersection in Wilcox, then follow signs to Twin Lakes by making a hard right onto Dahoga Road. The detour ends near the railroad overpass.
