Preliminary hearings were held Wednesday before District Judge Dom Cercone in Bradford.
George Michael Foster, 19, of 71 School St., had charges of simple assault and harassment bound to court and is free on $2,500 unsecured bail following Wednesday’s proceedings. The charges stem from an alleged incident at 11:51 p.m. June 26 when Foster was accused of forcefully taking vehicle and apartment keys from a woman, according to court records.
Charges of criminal mischief against Foster, stemming from an alleged incident at 12:25 a.m. June 27 at 53 Bank St., were also bound to court, with the same unsecured bail amount. In that incident, Foster is accused of damaging the front window at the Bank Street property and causing $1,348 in damage, court records allege.
Troy Alan Schuppenhauer, 29, of 13 Cherry St., had charges of terroristic threats with intention to terrorize another and simple assault bound to court by Cercone. According to court records, Schuppenhauer is accused of texting seven messages to a woman at 8:59 p.m. July 4 and threatening to harm or kill her while holding a knife. The harassment charge stems from accusations that Schuppenhauer sent 10 texts to the same woman using lewd and threatening language. He is free on $5,000 bail.
James L. Zannelli, 67, of 7 Avenue B, had a charge of making unsworn falsifications to authorities bound to court by Cercone. The charges stem from an alleged incident on Oct. 22, 2018, when Zannelli wrote a false statement he did not believe to be true to Bradford City Police regarding a non-functioning parking meter, according to court records. Charges of forged writing by Zannelli were dismissed by an assistant district attorney.
Matthew R. Bryant, 29, of Warren, pleaded guilty to charges of use/possession of drug paraphernalia, for possessing a glass pipe or bong used for methamphetamine. The incident occurred at 3 a.m. Oct. 3, 2018, at 82 Main St., and Bryant will pay a fine and costs, according to Cercone’s office.
Aaron Joseph Bailey, 31, of 65 Forman St., pleaded guilty to an incident at 3:24 a.m. Oct. 26 at 39 Forman St. He was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana for personal use and use/possession of drugs and will pay a fine and court costs. Charges of criminal trespass/simple trespasser were withdrawn by an assistant district attorney.
