COUDERSPORT — A Bolton Landing, N.Y., man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Wednesday in Potter County.

According to Coudersport-based state police, Thomas Taylor, 80, was traveling on Cherry Springs Road in Abbott Township at 3:30 p.m. when he hit a patch of gravel in the roadway and his motorcycle went out of control. This led to a failure to negotiate a left curve and the motorcycle leaving the roadway.

Deputy Coroner Kenneth Wingo declared Taylor deceased at the scene, according to police reports. Police say Taylor was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
