Genesee woman charged with concealing child
COUDERSPORT — A Genesee woman is facing criminal charges after she allegedly let a runaway child stay at her home in December.
According to Coudersport-based state police, Trina A. Nowakowski, 28, of 1667 Grover Hollow Road, committed the allegations occurred between Dec. 11-12.
Nowakowski is charged with concealment of the whereabouts of a child, a third-degree felony; corruption of minors, a first-degree misdemeanor; obstructing the administration of law or other government function, a second-degree misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct, a third-degree misdemeanor, court records stated.
She was arraigned and released on $5,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday.
Two charged with concealing runaway in Mills
COUDERSPORT — Coudersport-based state police said two are charged with concealing a runaway in Mills.
Robin R. Cary, 58, of 4821 Route 49, Mills, and Jeffery L. Hanes, 50, 110 S. Water St., Knoxville, are accused of keeping a runaway child at their home on Dec. 10-11. Police arrested the pair on warrants on July 9.
Cary and Hanes are each charged with concealment of the whereabouts of a child, a third-degree felony; corruption of minors, a first-degree misdemeanor; obstructing the administration of law or other government function, a second-degree misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct, a third-degree misdemeanor, according to court records.
Hanes faces one additional charge of unsworn falsification to authorities, records stated.
Both are free on $5,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing for the pair is set for Tuesday.
