TOPS #16
The weekly meeting of Take Off Pounds Sensibly #16 was held Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church in Bradford.
The meeting was called to order by President Vickie Johnson with the TOPS and KOPS Pledge.
The song was “If You’re Happy and You Know It.”
Weight Recorder Carole VanSickle and Assistant Weight Recorder Barb Smead weighed in 24 members with a loss of 14.9 pounds and three staying the same. Seven members were excused and four are to keep the food chart.
Best Loser in Waiting is Diane Lewis and Officer of the is Week is Vickie.
Secretary report was read by Secretary Sue DellaValle.
Inspiration was by Dee Rhodes, fashion tip by Diane Lewis, household tip by Chris McCracken and joke by Jeannie Miller.
The Nickelodeon is pepperoni. The food to avoid is cookies. The fruit is plums and the vegetable is spinach.
Installation of new officers was performed by Jessie Skillman.
The president is Vickie Johnson, co-leader is Diane Lewis, secretary is Sue DellaValle,
weight recorder and assistant weight recorder are Carole VanSickle and Barb Smead. Two helpers recognized are Donna Douthit and Jeannie Lowe. Dee Rhodes was named new member coach. Flowers were presented to the new officers.
Members were reminded that the Make It Bake It is next week, and they are to bring in items for the rally basket.
The meeting was adjourned with the Friendship Circle and the TOPS Prayer.
TOPS PA #1704
The members of TOPS #1704 (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) met Thursday night in the Hooker Fulton building.
Seven members weighed in losing 2 pounds. Doug was the Officer of the Week, as well as the Best Loser in Waiting. The topic this week was exercise. Members are to steer clear of chips and to exercise during commercials while watching TV.
Starting Aug. 5th, the group will be changing the meeting days to Mondays on a trial basis (August and September) to try to increase member numbers. Times will remain the same, with weigh in from 6:15 to 6:45 p.m. and meeting from 6:45 to 7:30 p.m. Anyone that is interested in taking off pounds sensibly with TOPS stop by and visit.
